2017 Honda Odyssey Redesign and Release Date
As other new cars, 2017 Honda Odyssey is reported to come out with the redesigned concept. It is a popular minivan that should be released at the end of 016 with new features as the part of innovation from Honda. Rumors also mentioned that there will be more changes including the new Earth Dreams V6 engine to give better performance as well as the fuel efficiency. With the new and fresh body, the company is ready to offer 2017 Odyssey with some refreshments for both inside and outside. The platform is new to complete its drastic changes to make it more acceptable on the market.
Body, Appearance & Interior Changes
Our main concern is about the appearance of 2017 Honda Odyssey that would not be too far from the current model so that the styling is still recognizable. What makes it a bit different is about the body shape and it inherits the styling cues from the predecessor. The refreshments could be seen from the more modern touches added here and there. The body lines are very contemporary with the sleek look to make it much better than before. The platform used in this 2017 Honda Odyssey is from the Acura MDX which is quite light but it is adjusted. Another suspension is possible to offer that could make this minivan offers more price yet it is still affordable.
The recent reports gave us more details for the powertrain of this new version. It is speculated that the company will support it with 3.5 liter Earth Dreams V6 engine as aluminum engine which is also used by Honda Accord to produce about 278 horses and 252 lb-ft of torque power. The compression ratio is about 10:5:1 with no direct fuel injection support. As a result, it has a great EPA rating that is 21 mpg city and 34 mpg highway through six-speed auto transmission for 2017 Honda Odyssey. In short, it shows about efficient powertrain with great specification that is possible to be improved by Honda to make it more different from strong rivals.
2017 Honda Odyssey Release Date and Price
The new 2017 Honda Odyssey will go on sale late in 2016. We’re guessing it will be close to November/December. As for a price, expect a base MSRP of $28k for the LX model and $43k for the top-of-the-line Elite trim.
